Speaking the day after his team booked a place in the Semi final of the Scottish cup the Celtic manager was in a positive mood as he answered questions from the press.
Celts Are Here

The Norweigan who had a sticky start to his Celtic career is starting to see the fruits of his labour and has already one trophy to his name as Celtic boss. He now looks to the future and not just the rest of this season but he speaks about building something special at Celtic.

“My plan is Champions League football, win everything in Scotland – Create a culture of development, performance & play attractive football.” said Ronny.

“Players have to enjoy playing football and playing every game. From professionals down to 7-8 year olds playing”

For many this will be a refreshing outlook as most managers nowadays try and live from season to season. It is impossible to achieve a high standard of football if you aren’t looking far enough into the future and Deila realises this. Acknowledging how well the team has come along since the start of the season under his tutelage.

“We’ve come far since August. We have the League Cup and I think we are playing better football than at the start of the season.”

Ronny and his team have the chance of achieving a very special treble and wouldn’t it just be terrific if this could be achieved especially after the criticism he’s had to endure since taking over the job.
